Food businesses using Cookaborough are required to comply with the following requirements.
Food Business Registration
The food business must be a registered food business, and upload a valid registration certificate or confirmation of registration provided by their local council or Health Department.
Food Safety Supervisor
The food business must have at least one Food Safety Supervisor per five people working in the kitchen and must upload one Certificate of completion for that training.
Public Liability Insurance
The food business must upload a valid Certificate of Currency for public liability insurance. If servicing Support at Home & NDIS customers the minimum amount is $10m.
Workers Compensation
Food businesses with employees must upload a Certificate of Currency for valid Workers Compensation insurance.
General Compliance Declaration
To publish menus on Cookaborough, all food businesses must complete an annual General Declaration confirming the business understands their obligations, and also that:
All staff in the business who handle food have completed Food Handling training as per the requirement of the Food Act 1984.
All items on menus have been entered with complete and accurate ingredients, metrics and yields and customer instructions.
All food items are provided to customers with legible and compliant food labelling.
Government Program Compliance Declaration
To service Support at Home and NDIS customers, all food businesses must complete an annual Government Program declaration confirming the business understand their obligations, and:
All relevant team members have read and understood the Aged Care Code of Conduct, and have watched this Aged Care video.
The business is aware of obligations of meal providers servicing Support at Home as outlined in this Fact Sheet.
The food business has their recipes reviewed every 12 months under Support at Home by an Accredited Practising Dietitian.
All relevant team members have read and understood the NDIS Code of Conduct and have watched this NDIS video.
The food business understands their obligations under Support at Home to report any reportable incidents to the Care Provider under the Serious Incident Reporting Scheme.
