Home Care Packages (HCP) is a government program designed to help senior Australians stay at home for longer and includes access to partially funded meals. Once accepted for a package, recipients are required to pay for only 30% of the cost of the meal, while the Care Provider pays for the remainder. Historically it has been difficult for HCP recipients to access high quality, locally produced meals, with most available options mass-produced, and little opportunity for choice and variety.
