HOME care packages
How HCP works for Food Businesses
Home Care Packages (HCP) is a government program designed to help senior Australians stay at home for longer and includes access to partially funded meals. Once accepted for a package, recipients are required to pay for only 30% of the cost of the meal, while the Care Provider pays for the remainder. Historically it has been difficult for HCP recipients to access high quality, locally produced meals, with most available options mass-produced, and little opportunity for choice and variety.
We believe that locally-made seasonal meals produced in small batches by people that you trust can enhance the quality of life for older Australians. Cookaborough has made it easy for food businesses to service local older Australians by automating the complexities of servicing this sector. This includes:
Simplifying the application process for HCP recipients.
Enabling the HCP recipient to only pay 30% of the cost of the meal upfront.
Automating the invoicing of the remaining amount to the Care Provider.
Integrating the Care Provider debtor accounting process to make it easy to track amounts owing.
In addition, we also provide tools and resources to make it easy to grow this part of your business. We have established relationships with over 150 of the Care Providers that look after over 150,000 HCP recipients, enabling access to a referred customer base.
